Last year, with your incredible support, we successfully raised $75,000 to install new security cameras and gates, making Holy Rosary a safer place for our students. This year, we are asking for your help once again—this time to focus on an area where our children spend a significant part of their day: the school playfield. Right now, the field is not just muddy but dangerous, often becoming unusable from October through April. Our students, especially those participating in CYO soccer, are frequently covered in mud and risk injury, with several cases of broken bones reported. This is unacceptable for a space meant for fun and exercise. To ensure our children can safely enjoy outdoor activities, we need to regrade the field, improve drainage, and install fresh grass or turf with planned maintenance for year-round use. Additionally, we’ll be purchasing safer, properly-sized soccer goals and equipment to keep play areas secure and inclusive for all. But that’s not all—our playground also needs attention. After making the difficult decision to remove the unsafe rock climbing wall, we now have an opportunity to invest in updated playground equipment that can be enjoyed by all students, particularly older ones. Our goal this year is to raise $85,000; with $70,000 allocated to transform our playfield into a safe, welcoming space, and $15,000 to upgrade our playground. By contributing to this year’s Fund-a-Need, you’re not just supporting improvements to our campus; you’re making an investment in the health, safety, and happiness of every Holy Rosary student. Every dollar raised above our goal will be used for additional playground renovations and outdoor enhancements, ensuring that all students, no matter their age or ability, have access to safe and inclusive play.
